🏆 Man City vs Newcastle United - Carabao Cup Semi
It does not get much bigger than a Carabao Cup semi-final at the Etihad Stadium, with a place at Wembley on the line. Expect a proper cup-night atmosphere, big-game intensity, and two teams who know they have to go for it over two legs.
Recent meetings have had plenty of edge too. Newcastle beat City 2-1 at St James’ Park on 22 November 2025, with Harvey Barnes scoring twice, and that result was noted as only Newcastle’s second Premier League win over City in around two decades. City have also shown how quickly they can flip the script at home, thumping Newcastle 4-0 at the Etihad on 15 February 2025 with an Omar Marmoush hat-trick. That mix of recent drama and real cup stakes sets this up perfectly.
On Thursday we head back to the ground where you can immerse yourself in the City story on the Manchester City Stadium Tour and visit areas of the Stadium not usually available to the public.
