The Park Inn by Radisson, Birmingham

The Park Inn by Radisson in Birmingham offers a bright, modern place to stay with everything you need for a comfortable break. The rooms are clean and well-kept, with en-suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi throughout. Guests often mention how friendly and welcoming the staff are, which helps make the stay even more enjoyable.

There’s a cosy on-site restaurant serving breakfast and evening meals, so you won’t need to venture far for a bite to eat. The hotel also has a small fitness centre if you fancy a quick workout. It’s a great base for your tour, with everything you need to relax after a busy day out.

    Cumbria Museum of Military Life

Set inside the historic grounds of Carlisle Castle, the Cumbria Museum of Military Life gives a fascinating look into over 300 years of local military history. With uniforms, medals, weapons and personal stories on display, it’s a great way to learn about the lives of the soldiers who served.

There are interactive exhibits, including a recreated WWI trench, and even a trail for younger visitors to enjoy. Whether you're into history or just fancy seeing something a bit different, it’s an engaging and memorable stop on the tour.

    The National Memorial Arboretum

The National Memorial Arboretum is a peaceful and beautifully kept space, spread across 150 acres of gardens and woodland. With over 400 memorials, it honours those who’ve served in the Armed Forces, emergency services, and other organisations, offering a quiet place to reflect and remember.

One of the highlights is the Armed Forces Memorial, dedicated to those who have died in service since the end of WWII. There’s also a small chapel where a daily act of remembrance takes place. It’s a moving and memorable visit, whether you’re there for the history or the atmosphere.

The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford

The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford is a fantastic stop for anyone with an interest in aviation or history. It’s home to over 70 aircraft, including the only place in the UK where you can see all three of Britain’s iconic V Bombers - Vulcan, Victor and Valiant - on display together.

There’s loads to explore, from the oldest surviving Spitfire to the famous Chinook helicopter ‘Bravo November’, which served in major conflicts for over 30 years. With immersive exhibitions like the National Cold War display and plenty of space to wander, it’s a really engaging and memorable visit.
