We’re shining the spotlight on one of our brilliant drivers – George! He might be new to Loch Lomond Travel, but he’s already made a big impression with his enthusiasm, care for passengers, and a genuine love for the road. We sat down with George to find out a little more about the man behind the wheel.
Favourite Place Visited So Far?
“Whitby, without a doubt. I went there as a kid, so visiting it again as an adult brought back loads of memories. It’s such a beautiful part of the country. I’m still early in my journey with Loch Lomond Travel, so I’ve got plenty more tours to look forward to – and I can’t wait!”
Any Traditions Before a Tour?
“I try to make every tour unique. Even if it’s the same destination, I want it to feel like a new experience for my passengers each time. No two tours are ever quite the same with me!”
A Memorable Passenger Moment?
“One that really stuck with me was on just my second tour. We were staying at the Waterside Hotel in Peterhead and had a lovely lady onboard celebrating her birthday. We surprised her with a cake and a signed card from everyone. Even though the weather wasn’t the best, the group spirit made it such a special day.”
Dream Coach Trip?
“I’d love to plan a big European trip – Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France… exploring different cultures and traditions in each place. That would be a dream come true.”
What’s the Best Part About Working Here?
“It genuinely feels like a team. I’m not just a number, and that really matters. My ideas are listened to, and there’s a real family-run vibe at Loch Lomond Travel. Everyone wants to do a great job, and we’ve got big ambitions together.”
We’re lucky to have George on the team, and we know many of you will get to experience one of his fantastic tours soon. If you spot him on your next holiday – don’t forget to say hello!
